From 2003 to 2014, he was a research scientist at Environment Canada in the Climate Research Division, in the Impacts and Adaptation Group, and at the Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis. Since December 2014, he has been a professor of hydroclimatology in the Department of Geography at UQAM. From 2017 to 2019, he held the UQAM Strategic Research Chair on Hydrometeorological Risks Related to Climate Change. From 2019 to 2022, he was director of the ESCER research centre (Study and Simulation of Climate at the Regional Scale) at UQAM. Since 2018, he has co-directed, with colleagues from McGill University, UQO, and INRS-ETE, the Quebec Intersectoral Flood Network (RIISQ), which brings together 18 universities and more than 190 researchers across Quebec.
