Under the Shadow: Unpacking Foreign Interference in Canada

The Center on Multidimensional Conflicts organized a conference with Benjamin Fung that delved into three aspects of foreign interference. First, it explored the specific strategies employed by the Chinese government to infiltrate Canadian academia, supported by first-hand evidence. Second, it shed light on a disinformation campaign that notably swayed our democratic processes in 2021. Lastly, it discussed the challenges and threats confronting Chinese dissident groups and the broader diaspora residing in Canada.
