WIN, LOSE, or DIE - John Gardner
Hello dear listeners!
It\'s been a while, but the time has arrived to return to our best frienemy, John Gardner. When last we discussed one of his continuation novels, hosts Matt and Edgar were slowly but surely starting to warm up to his oeuvre. It was SLOW but it was still happening. Can the upward trend continue???
This week the boys review the eighth novel, WIN, LOSE, or DIE. We shan\'t spoil whether the discussion takes a positive or negative spin, but we can tease you with some of the topics broached: Hellraiser, torture porn, unintended Star Trek references, other episodes we\'re currently editing, having real-world heads of state as supporting characters in a novel, how much Jason loves the idea of a British PM being a Bond villain, and one of the longest plot synopses in the show\'s history (because when you don\'t know what to say about a book, just regurgitate the plot).
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this latest episode of the show. Enjoy as much as Matt and Edgar enjoyed WIN, LOSE, or DIE. On second thought, maybe that\'s not a good idea.
