Octopussy Reloaded
Hello dear listeners!
We have to come clean. All we wanted was a simple distraction for an hour or two. We had no intention of doing the things that we did. And yet, here we are entering the podcast\'s sixth year.
To mark the occasion, we don\'t exactly have a very \"à propos\" episode, although we are reloading a film that also celebrates an anniversary, albeit a more long-standing one. OCTOPUSSY came out 40 years ago in 1983 and two of its fans, Jason and Edgar, sit down together (virtually) for its Reloaded treatment.
As fans of the show know, Reloaded episodes march to a different beat than the typical reviews. Personal connections, behind-the-scenes trivia, the boys come to play with some serious stuff. For example: evangelizing Bond fandom, getting to watch Bond movies when sick at home, Jason re-enacting a scene from DC\'s PEACEMAKER, the Joe Darlington Detour, using 007 as a role model for catching last minute flights, ranking the \"small armies\" climaxes, and Edgar and Jason try to explain the movie\'s plot...We\'ll let the listeners decide if they made any sense of it.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest episode of the James Bond Complex. Think of it this way: the podcast and the listeners are two of a kind!
