The James Bond Complex

Hello dear listeners!
January is often a month people make use of to turn a page, change their outlook, and start the year with a more positive outlook. This week, the podcast puts that notion into practice with a topic of discussion the hosts fretted about for some time but ultimately found quite rewarding.
It’s finally time to go back to the world of 007 comics. Specifically, the somewhat controversial The Bodyseries. Written by Ales Kot and illustrated by a handful of different artists, it’s an experimental, anthology of tangentially related adventures that put Bond through the wringer in surprising ways.
Matt and Edgar have much to discuss (much to their pleasant surprise) and regale the listeners with a plethora of highly sophisticated talking points, most notably: what’s it like being time lords, decompressed storytelling in comics, incorrect recipes for dirty bombs, casting The Body with people we know, a live reading of a key passage, a synopsis for The Dark Knight Returns, the comic’s distinct lack of Benzedrine, and everybody’s favourite villains to hate: Nazis.
So sit back, relax, and take in this latest episode of The James Bond Complex podcast. We promise that it’s good for The BODY, mind, and soul.
