The James Bond Complex

Hello dear listeners,
For a series of episodes dedicated to editing, one would think that we’d have edited down this elongated conversation to size. Fun fact: we have, even at 5 parts.
This week Mathieu, Edgar, and friend of the show Simon Drake are back at the round table. In this latest instalment, the Bond films under analysis are from the nostalgia decade du jour: the 80s.
Much like with Parts 1 and 2, this time the films of John Glen prove fertile ground for all sorts of enlightened commentary: 2 for 1 shots, seeing shadows at nighttime, women of the night showing up for a job at 5:30am, early risers, a child’s wonderment at seeing Roger Moore fight, fan edits, John Glen vs Ridley Scott, Super Bond fan Rick Moranis, and much more.
So sit back, relax, and bask in the glory of 80s filmmaking with us.

Part 3 begins with another instalment of our mockumentary The Making of Bomb Voyage.
Cast (in order of appearance):
Rodrigo Gonzalez: disclaimer reader
Bud West: narrator
Pierre-Oliver Bernier: making of documentary director
Mathieu Nadeau (aka Matt#2): documentary cameraman
Edgar Chaput: Bomb Voyage director
Mathieu Auclair: Bomb Voyage producer
