43- 3 things that are clear to me now!
After 500 individual sessions and approximately 40 group sessions, I can safely say that I have learned a few things!
I have reflected on the three most obvious findings since I started accompanying fabulous people on their journey into their subconscious mind.
1- The subconscious mind gives us the keys we need to solve the issues we have, in the most intelligent, organized and logical manner. It always amazes me how, in the end, all the pieces fit together so that people are able to see clearly and move in the right direction.
2- People know what they need to work on. In each of the sessions, after we have reviewed responses to the intersession questionnaire, there is a point where I will ask, “So what do you need from me today?” Not everyone can answer readily, but most of the time, people will have a pretty good understanding of what they want to discuss. Sometimes, I also have suggestions, based on prior sessions or the answers to the questionnaire, but I have noticed that 99.9% of the time, the client subconsciously knows. So, when I go back to the conversation and the questionnaires, the words and metaphors that have been already contain what it is that person needs to work on. I do believe that people are the experts of their own lives.
3- A defense mechanism that brings you back to the old familiar habits can find very creative ways of popping up. Most of the time, when there is a push in the old familiar, it happens before the 2nd session. People start to feel lighter, different and it feels unfamiliar to them. I have noticed that one common push back will be on a word I’ve used in the rewiring recording. Interestingly enough, when we go under hypnosis to understand why this particular word, metaphor or expression is so triggering, we find other opportunities to let go of well-hidden limiting beliefs.
I have learned so much in the past 2.5 years, about the subconscious beliefs and how hypnosis is a direct road to freedom. I am privileged to take part in and love those journeys with my clients that leaf to the heart of their subconscious minds.
