208. Parable of the Two Sons
In the Gospel of Matthew (21:28-32), a father asks his two sons to work in his vineyard. The first son initially refuses but later changes his mind and works. The second son agrees to work but then doesn\'t. The father\'s will is done by the first son, who repents and obeys, while the second son, who makes a false commitment, doesn\'t fulfill it. This parable is used by Jesus to illustrate the difference between hypocrisy and genuine obedience, suggesting that tax collectors and prostitutes might enter the Kingdom of God before those who outwardly profess obedience but lack genuine repentance.
