In the Gospel of Mark (6:4), Jesus says, \"A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household\". Jesus said this in Nazareth, where he was rejected by his family and neighbors. The people of his home town knew Jesus well, but they didn\'t believe who he was. They called him \"the son of Mary\" to reject his virgin birth and Messianic claims. Jesus was unable to perform miracles in Nazareth because of their lack of faith.
