Yuliya Kovaliv arrived in Ottawa on March 9, 2022, just a few days after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. The young Ukrainian ambassador to Canada was accompanied by her husband and their two children. With a degree in economics, Yuliya has had a stunning career in both the private and public sectors. She has served as the CFO of a major gas company, First Deputy Minister of Economy in the government, Chairwoman of Ukraine\'s largest company, and Deputy Minister under President Zelensky.
